Jean Philippe (JP) Ayissi, E.I.T.

JP Ayissi is a Building Code Consultant at PSquare Engineering, where he reviews project drawings, prepares code reports and alternative solutions, and coordinates permit submissions. With experience across residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use projects, he supports clients from concept through construction by ensuring clear, compliant, and well-documented processes.

JP earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia and is registered as an Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) with Engineers and Geoscientists BC. His portfolio includes townhouse communities, mid-rise and high-rise towers, industrial facilities, and multi-phase developments that demanded creative alternative solutions and close coordination with authorities. Notable contributions include multi-building townhome projects and parkade-integrated designs where his technical input was critical.

Known for valuing clear communication, JP prioritizes proactive updates with clients, consultants, and authorities to prevent delays and build strong relationships. He is proud of his role in shaping projects that provide housing and services across BC. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking and basketball, and once worked as a line cook in a busy kitchen where he learned discipline and teamwork. His motto: “Just do your best. Nobody can judge effort.
