Alma Paragas, PMP®

Alma Paragas is a Project Coordinator at PSquare Engineering, where she reviews drawings for code compliance and coordinates building permit applications, particularly within the Certified Professional (CP) stream. With more than 12 years of combined international and Canadian experience, Alma brings deep knowledge of construction, project management, and code consulting.

Alma holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, is a licensed Civil Engineer (Philippines), and earned the Project Management Professional (PMP®) credential. She has also completed the Introduction to Engineering in BC program, BCIT Part 3 Introduction, and the EGBC/AIBC Advanced Code Knowledge course. Her project experience includes townhouse communities, mid-rise and mixed-use towers, large-scale industrial facilities, and housing projects, where she has supported documentation and coordination with municipalities.

Alma’s approach emphasizes active listening, thoughtful analysis, and collaborative problem-solving. She is especially proud of contributing to projects that expand safe, livable housing across BC. Outside of work, she enjoys gardening and dreams of planting fields of sunflowers. She also prefers rainy-day beach visits. Motto: “Be kind even when others are not.
